Infectious diseases remain a persistent threat in Haiti, disproportionately affecting the most vulnerable. CMMB Haiti focuses on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions such as HIV and Hansen’s Disease—both of which carry significant stigma. From expanding access to treatment for people living with HIV to providing specialized care for individuals with Hansen’s Disease at Klinik Sen Damien, our goal is to ensure that no one is left behind.
Through community-based outreach, education, and health systems support, we help people access timely care while reducing transmission within families and communities. Our work includes preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV, supporting adherence to lifelong antiretroviral therapy, and diagnosing and treating neglected conditions like Hansen’s Disease. In partnership with Haiti’s ministry of health and local leaders, we are building a healthier, more equitable future—where all Haitians can live free from preventable infectious disease.
