Addressing Infectious Diseases with Compassion and Commitment

CMMB Haiti works to protect the most vulnerable from HIV, leprosy, and other infectious disease threats.

Infectious diseases remain a persistent threat to public health in Haiti, disproportionately affecting the most vulnerable. CMMB Haiti works at the forefront of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases such as HIV and leprosy—conditions that not only cause physical harm, but often carry deep social stigma. From expanding access to antiretroviral therapy for people living with HIV to providing specialized care for individuals with leprosy at Klinik Sen Damien, our goal is to ensure that no one is left behind.

Through community-based outreach, education, and strong health systems support, we help individuals access timely care and reduce transmission within families and communities. Our work includes preventing mother-to-child transmission of HIV, supporting adherence to lifelong treatment, and diagnosing and treating neglected diseases like leprosy. In partnership with the Ministry of Health and local leaders, we are building a more just and resilient future—one where all Haitians can live free from the burden of preventable infectious disease.
